Chakra Balancing

There is more than one way to balance your chakras. Each of your body’s seven chakras has its own connections, vibration and frequency, with different words, stones and colors for each. Many know this, but what most do not know is that there are also sounds associated with each of the chakras. Using music to balance your chakras is a simple thing to do. You don’t even really need to use music- each chakra has its own mantra that you can say, if you choose.

For those that do not feel comfortable using mantras, there are chakra CDs that are issue or habit-specific. For instance, if communication is not one of your strong suits, there are CDs that work with the throat chakra. By playing the music as you relax, you will be encouraging the chakra to align itself- and each chakra has specific musical tones and instruments that help them balance out.

Many chakra-balancing musical compositions will come with visualizations to use while you are listening. These may have you picturing your chakra’s energy glowing or spinning, and they will occasionally ask you to clear out energy that no longer serves a purpose, and allow fresh energy in. Most chakra balancing music lasts for a certain amount of time (most are thirty to sixty minutes in length). The CDs will often have an induction sequence, to help you relax. Toward the end, there are often cues that let you know the session is nearing its close.

Chakra balancing music was originally used by healers to help their clients clear imbalances. The music is now available to all, and there is so much available, that you are sure to find some music that you like. Some chakra CDs are musical compositions, and some are recordings of people chanting. There are also reiki music titles. If you want to explore chakra balancing, use music. It will quiet your conscious mind and let your body take over to heal itself.
